The Ministry of St. Paul's
Women of Destiny - 2018
We are women of Word, Worship, Worth, Wisdom and Work.
WOW!
This covers evangelism, worship, fellowship, membership, discipleship and allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way through us as we fulfill our God-ordained destiny in Jesus Christ.
Word: We study to show ourselves approved of God
Worship: We worship God in Spirit and in Truth
Worth: We are vessels of honor, prepared for good works
Wisdom: We know that she who wins souls is wise.
We recognize that wisdom is the principal thing.
Work: We know that faith without works is dead being alone.
We continually prepare for every good work.
Foundational/Guiding Scripture:
Timothy 2:21b “Be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master,
prepared for every good work.”
Women of Word
Examples include the Thursday night Women’s Bible Study and Prayer Meeting, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, play writing and performance and other workshops that bring the Bible to life in real and relevant ways.
Women at Worship
Examples include the Women’s Choir, Women’s Liturgical Dance Ministry and the Women’s Missionary Society.
Women of Worth
Examples include mentoring our younger sisters and daughters so they learn and grow in their identity in Christ Jesus.
Women of Wisdom
Examples include workshops on financial planning, estate planning, health care, relationships, fellowship, disease prevention and management for the spirit, soul and body.
Women of Work
Examples include the Women’s Missionary Society, women working with Community Outreach, the Women’s Shelter, and women working with implementing the vision of St. Paul Village, women working with Grape Arbor Development Corporation and women working with the local schools.
The Women of Destiny Conference is held annually each November over five days and includes each of the five components of Word, Worship, Worth, Wisdom and Work. Spirit-filled speakers have encouraged, inspired and challenged the women and men of St. Paul to become all that God has called us to be. Each year, we have had Bible Studies, workshops on finances, health management and/or relationships that have helped us to grow in wisdom and strength. In addition we have conducted community outreach projects to impact women and/or children in our community.
