2nd annual St. Paul village 5K walk Run

From the Chapel Hill News, May 21, 2014, pg. 4A
Roses from Mae McLendon to Anissa McLendon and Joe Bynum and members of the Planning Committee for the 2nd Annual St. Paul Village 5k Walk/Race which was held on March 1. More than 150 participants braved the cold weather to walk or run from McDougle Middle School's track through the streets of Carrboro back to McDougle. Donations were made to TABLE and Club Nova.

More roses from Mae McLendon to Nancy Jenkins, coordinator and members of Planning Committee for the 2014 Chapel Hill Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, March 23. “Neither the rain, cold or the Carolina Alert could stop walkers,” she writes. “This is one of the most profitable and well attended CROP Walks in the nation. Money raised helps eliminate hunger on the local level through Inter Faith Council for Social Service food programs and Church World Services in their effort around the globe.
